Aquatics Policies

We have rules for your safety.

Let's all be safe

Pool Rules

  • Obey the instructions of the lifeguards. They are there to keep you safe!

  • All swimmers must wear a bathing suit (100% Polyester Clothing). No cotton, denim, or undergarments is permitted.

  • Prolonged floating on one’s stomach or breath-holding is not permitted.

  • Swimmers who cannot swim are not allowed in chest-level water – the only exception is when an adult 18 years or older is accompanying them with a US Coast Guard approved lifejacket on the non-swimmer.

  • No running, pushing, shoulder rides, flipping, or dangerous horseplay.

  • No diving in water less than 6 feet deep.

  • No Climbing over walls, islands, or play structures.

  • No food or drinks, other than water, are allowed in the aquatics area.

  • We only allow U.S. Coast Guard-approved flotation devices. We are more than happy to check for you. We do have life jackets available to use at no cost. Flotation devices like inner tubes, lounges, and other outside items are subject to approval by staff.

  • Children 6 and under must have an adult with them in the water and within an arm’s length at all times.

  • Swim diapers must be used for all children who are not properly potty trained.

  • Children under the age of 12 must have an adult present in the aquatic area at all times.

  • At the sound of three whistle blasts, please exit at the nearest sidewall or ladder and head towards the appropriately designated area.

  • If there is a fecal incident in the pool, we are mandated by Maricopa County Code to shut down for a minimum of one hour. In serious cases, it may be shut down 24 hours. We apologize for the inconvenience, but it is for your safety.

  • Multiple violations of outlined rules can result in loss of privileges, suspension, or expulsion.

  • No glassware is allowed within pool enclosures.

  • No animals are allowed except for service animals.

  • Shower and use the restroom before entering the pool.

  • Kroc Programs and events take priority over the pool.

Slide Rules

  • You must be 48 inches to ride our slide. 

  • Non-swimmers are not permitted.

  • One rider at a time. Absolutely no trains or chains of riders are permitted. When finished, exit the catch pool immediately. No person may catch another at the bottom of the slide.

  • Riders must enter the slide in a sitting position and wait for the instructions from the lifeguard stationed at the slide starter tub.

  • Riders must go downslide on their back or bottom, feet first. Kneeling, standing, spinning, or stopping is not permitted.

  • Jewelry, flotation devices, lifejackets, metal objects such as swimmers with exposed zippers, buckles, rivets, or anything similar that may damage the slide are not permitted.

  • The Slide may be closed at the discretion of the lifeguard.

  • No horseplay while waiting in line.

  • The maximum rider weight is 300 pounds.

  • People who have medical conditions or pregnant should consult with a physician before use.

  • No diving or flipping while exiting the flume.

  • Ride at your own risk.

AquaClimb®

  • Maximum weight capacity is 225 pounds
  • Non-Swimmers are not permitted to use the AquaClimb® wall.
  • The minimum age for AquaClimb® is 6 years.
  • Use of the lifejackets or other flotation devices is NOT permitted.
  • Climbers must always start from in the water and Not from the pool deck.
  • Climbers get one attempt per climb.
  • Only one climber at a time may use the wall.
  • Wait your turn in a single file line next to the lifeguard stand or designated area.
  • Wait until the climber before has completed their climb and has exited the “drop zone” before entering the water.
  • Climb only when the drop zone is clear of swimmers and obstructions.
  • Never climb around the sides of the AquaClimb® either onto the pool deck or from the pool deck onto the AquaClimb®.
  • DO NOT climb any higher than the top of the AquaClimb® wall. DO NOT climb on top of the structure.
  • Before dropping into the water, make sure the “drop zone” is free from any obstructions.
  • Feet first only when dropping into the water. Diving, Cannonballs, Flips, etc. are NOT allowed.
  • Do not push off the AquaClimb® wall. Land safely away from the wall or sides of the pool.
  • Swimmers must promptly exit from the “drop zone” or onto the pool deck when done.
  • No catching climbers off the AquaClimb® wall.
  • Only water shoes are allowed on the climbing wall. Athletic shoes, climbing shoes, boots, sandals/flip-flops, and any other form of footwear are not allowed on the AquaClimb® wall.
  • Additional rules and stipulations may be enforced at any time for safety

Lap Swimming

  • Lap swimming only when lap lanes are in the pool.

  • If multiple lanes are in use by lap swimmers, a circular pattern will be used when more than 2 swimmers are in a lane. Swim in a counterclockwise direction and with those of similar swimming ability. Swimmers being passed or passing others should consider switching lanes. The lifeguard has the authority to assign lanes for maximum usage.

  • Kickboards, pull buoys, paddles and fins may be used for fitness training during lap swim. Equipment is only available for adults unless prior approval by staff.

  • Stopping, standing, and aqua jogging will be prohibited in the lap lane area when lap Lane(s) are in use.

  • Rest in the corners of the lane when needed if you are sharing a lane.

Whirlpool Rules

  • The minimum age to be in our spa is 12 years old.

  • Pregnant women, the elderly, and persons suffering from heart disease, diabetes, or high or low blood pressure should not enter without prior medical consultation and permission from their doctor.

  • Soak time should be limited to 15 minutes.

  • Submerging head and horseplay is not permitted.
